Hey boo. Are you winging dinner tonight? Hoping for the best and then ending up with spaghetti… again!
The excitement of planning a week of what to make for dinner can quickly fade as soon as you figure out that your system is totally and completely fucked.
Where did you put that printable?
What about that list you wrote down on a scrap piece of paper?
No pens that work?
Do we even have enough milk?
Learn more about why Trello is an awesome digital tool that is perfect for meal planning (and doing like 1246357569 other things with your productivity and digital organization).
I have developed a ridiculously simple system for meal planning that utilizes Trello.
Before you get all pumped and excited about the end all be all meal planning tool I’m obsessed with, let’s find out if Trello is even right for you.
I don’t want you spending money on my system if it’s just gonna stress you the fuck out more.
Trello for Meal Planning Probably Isn’t for You:
Trello is Perfect for Meal Planning With Your Busy Schedule If:
Trello is a digital bulletin board and hand holder for all the shit in your brain that needs handling.
Sweet! Let’s talk about the potential of meal planning (for real) and why it can have a domino effect on your entire fucking life.
Your marriage? Your time with your kids? Your work?
“Woah, hold up, Beth, what the fuck is this shit?
I just want to figure out what to make for dinner. I never said I needed any of that other stuff?”
Look. If you’ve got your shit together then you probably don’t need meal planning.
You probably spend loads of quality time reading leisurely books to your kids. You probably never hide in the bathroom from your spouse and kids because mommy needs a minute!
I know it sounds fucking mental, but meal planning with this system has legit improved my quality of life with my family.
Sure, I still hide from time to time, don’t get me wrong.
But generally speaking, if I’m meal planning, I’m a happier worker, wife, and mom.
I’m not trying to be cocky here. Or a total brat. (Okay, maybe a little.)
I have been working with enough busy parents and meal planning long enough to know three things about you:
So it’s gotta be quick and painless and easy.
Crazy how I know this about you right?
When it comes to meal planning and figuring out a menu, you can definitely do it quickly and easily with a bajillion free printables or excel spreadsheets or whatever you can find on the internet.
But if you want to repeat the results every fucking week for the next four weeks or so (because then it will become a habit) then I need you to take a pause here.
This meal planning system is so fucking different from anything else you’ve ever tried.
It is also going to deliver the results you need to have in your life.
And like, a ton of other weird random side effects of things you didn’t know were possible including feeling mental and brain space to be present and available to your kids when you come home from work.
Mental and physical energy to be more loving and amorous to your spouse.
Mental and physical stamina to take better care of yourself.
And get an extra 30 minutes of your life back every single weekday.
Oh and save you an average of $50 to $100 a week on groceries.
So, instead of doing the same thing you’ve done in the past and expect different results, today, level up your entire life by making the conscious choice to use Trello to meal plan.
When you pay $39 for my Boss Bitch Meal Planning course you’re going to get instant access to the course and if you wanna binge the whole fucking thing in one day, so be it.
You do, you boo.
I know you’re busy and you just want to get to it.
However, I don’t recommend this.
I think establishing a system for meal planning that you can replicate every single week takes a shift in mindset and focus and so I do things a little differently.
Every “lesson” is meant to take between 5 – 10 minutes MAX! Including some short videos to guide you along the way.
Day 1 – Bullshit-Free Meal Planning Done Right
This course is about your mindset and shifting your energy to become a boss bitch meal planner.
Day 2 – Intro to Trello – Get Your Shit Together
If you’ve never meal planned before we’ll go over all the basics, the strategies and what could stop you in your best-of-intentions tracks.
Having this baseline of knowledge is helpful to set up your expectations as I introduce you to the wonderful world of Trello.
Day 3 – Set Up Trello Extension and Build Your Bank of Recipes
On this day of the course, I’m going to ask you to get organized. You’ll learn how to add your favorite recipes to Trello and organize your favorite meals.
We’ll also take a look at where and how to search for new recipes as well as how to add them to your Trello Board.
Day 4 – Shopping List Creation
Ever pick out a new recipe only to forget a key ingredient? That never happens with this system. I promise.
Day 5 – Let’s Meal Plan
Watch me plan and organize my meal planner for the week using the actual meals we’re going to make.
This meal planning goddess-ness comes with these additional add ons:
This plan is designed for those who are already familiar with Trello and don’t need to learn the entire thing from scratch.
Or for those who have mastered the Boss Bitch Meal Planner and wanna take their meal planning game to another level.
Get Your Meal Plan Together
In this course you’ll set up your meal planning board and add essential Trello power-ups including Butler and Calendar.
In this course, we’ll talk about Butler, a Trello Power-Up (we’ll explain that too!) and how to customize it specific to meal planning. We’ll go over helpful short cut buttons to add to your board to streamline your meal planning process (aka make this shit even faster).
Let’s Build a Shopping List
In this course we’ll discuss an optimal strategy for grocery shopping. Build a staples grocery list (things you buy every week) and go over how to copy ingredients from recipes you want to easily make your shopping list.
Let’s Meal Plan For Reals Tho
I’ll demonstrate how I meal plan for the week, going over everything we’ve learned along with some quick hacks to make the process even faster, and help you stick with it for months, years, to come.
In this optional bonus lesson you’ll learn all the other little tricks and hacks for Trello to streamline the process.
We’ll also go over how to bulk add recipes from Pinterest, Google, or even from a text from a friend
I’ve really tried to make sure that this is the best use of your time, energy, and hard-earned paper.
My hope is that you get the most out of this system that’s possible.
If you feel you’re ready, then let’s do this thing.
Oh, but there’s one more thing.
By purchasing this course, it’s important to know that you get LIFETIME ACCESS to it. That means if in three years I figure out an even better, more efficient system, I’m gonna send it to you.
Any updates to Trello that can better your experience or make meal planning easier, you’re gonna get notice of as well.
There isn’t a recurring fee.
You don’t have to pay a membership.
I can’t promise that it will always be like this for customers down the line, but for now, it’s yours.
Ohmigosh here we are talking all about meal planning and I never took the time to say a proper hey, girl heyyyy!
I’m Beth. I’m the DGAF MOM (that’s Dee-gAF). I write about parenting tips, tricks, and hacks over at thedgafmom.com
I believe that being a mom is hard. I’ve learned that when I don’t give a fuck about things that aren’t serving me, this whole parenting thing can become so much more fun.
I gave some serious fucks about designing this meal planning program and as a result, it’s opened up mental time, physical space, and energy in my life so I can spend it doing the things I really WANT to do.
I can promise you if you’d like to feel more empowered in your life, a simple thing like meal planning can make a big change for the better.
